Spiderman 3 on the Wii
Spiderman 3 sounded like a great game for the Wii, squirting out webs and swinging around the city. Oh, what a disappointment!
First of all you start with the training, which is a must otherwise you wouldn’t have the foggiest idea what controls do what, and even after the training I wasn’t so sure. Combat moves are difficult and you need to move the wii-mote side to side for this, which isn’t very natural, however the other-halfs random flinging of the remote and nunchuck sent the bad guys flying, whereas I tried a more definite approached and got beaten up…
The other bug-bear I have with this game is the save options, each mission consists of goals, so I thought that after I complete a goal, I could do a save, then if I mess up I can just restart this section, wrong! You have to start the entire mission over again, very frustrating!!
The swinging through the city is fun, but it gets to be a PITA when you are trying to stick some web on a baddie and it flies off and sticks to a building, meaning you have to waste time getting back to where you where, in the mean-time something has blown up somewhere.
I will probably persevere for a bit longer, then stick it on ebay.
